About Padi Restaurant and Catering
Padi Restaurant and Catering is an indonesian restaurant in San Leandro, California. It is listed at 16695 E 14th St, San Leandro, CA 94578, which places it among the local businesses of San Leandro that residents and visitors turn to when they need this kind of service close by. This group covers Japanese, Korean, Thai, Vietnamese, Indian and other Asian cuisines that are not Chinese, and the etiquette varies by kitchen. Japanese and Korean restaurants often take reservations for dinner and may add a service charge for large groups; Thai and Vietnamese spots are usually walk-in and quick-turnover. Spice levels are frequently adjustable on request at Thai, Indian and Sichuan-adjacent menus, so say if you want it mild or hot. Korean BBQ restaurants typically charge per person for all-you-can-eat service with a time limit, and grills are shared at the table. Vietnamese pho shops post bowl sizes (regular or large) and a plate of herbs, bean sprouts and lime is normal to add yourself. Card and tap-to-pay are widely accepted; cash-only is more common at small family-run counters.

One of the best Indonesian restaurants in the Bay Area. It is worth the drive if you are looking for authentic Indonesian food. Give it a try!

A friend told me about this Indonesian restaurant. I almost cried after finding out that it's very near where I work. You see, we don't get many good Indonesian restaurants here in the Bay Area (LA people, you guys are lucky), so I do have high hopes when I discover a new one. Conclusion? It's not the best, but it certainly doesn't disappoint. Don't expect fancy decorations or interiors. Seriously, don't. The best Indonesian restaurants in Indonesia aren't served in hotels or other fancy places. You go here for the food. I went there for lunch and tried the no frills grilled Balinese chicken and a side of steam rice. You know how it tasted? It tasted like home. I would definitely try and give it a shot.

Fast service. Ambiance is not special. Very casual. They have a vegetarian menu. We had the vegetarian rice noodles & spicy eggplant. The portions were very large. The noodles & the tomato sauce on the eggplant was slightly sweat. May come again to try other items.

The food here was decent. I think the dish I liked the best was the smashed fried chicken, which was pretty moist and the purple sticky rice with coconut milk for dessert was good. The Nasi Goreng Rendang was decent, but there are other fried rice I like more. The eggs didn't seem like anything special. Overall, I would go back if I was craving the smashed fried chicken with chili.
